Current campaign status
The creators of Next Friday: Magical Meow Meow have linked a Kickstarter creator profile as part of their plan to fund a second episode. As of our July 15, 2026 check, we did not verify a public live campaign page containing a launch date, funding target, reward tiers, deadline, pledge button, or production schedule.
That means the accurate status is profile verified; campaign not yet confirmed live. The profile link itself is official because it appears in the creator-written description of the pilot. A profile is not the same object as an active project page, so this guide will not describe people as backers or display a campaign total before those things exist.
The status will change to live only after a public project page exposes a working pledge flow and remains connected to the verified creator identity. A preview image, pre-launch mention, social countdown, or cached search snippet is not enough on its own. When that threshold is met, we will record the campaign URL, creator name, opening and closing dates, stated goal, currency, and last verification time. Until then, leaving those fields blank protects readers from acting on information the project has not actually published.
The verified Kickstarter destination
The verification chain begins at the official YouTube upload with video ID yJsTa55AAjE. Its description asks viewers to follow the project’s Kickstarter plans and links directly to kickstarter.com/profile/1873424392. Our button uses that URL without a shortener, affiliate tag, tracking redirect, or copied checkout interface.
When a campaign launches, verify three points before pledging:
- The campaign is published by the same creator profile or is linked from that profile.
- The official YouTube channel or

What the team says funding is for
The official pilot description says the next goal is funding for a second episode titled Next Friday: I’m in Love! That establishes a purpose at a high level: supporting the proposed continuation. It does not publish a budget breakdown, minimum goal, stretch goal, staffing plan, reward catalog, delivery date, or allocation by production department.
We therefore do not estimate how much animation “should cost” or convert the pilot’s runtime into a target amount. Independent animation budgets vary with scope, labor, schedule, location, existing assets, sound, music, platform fees, rewards, taxes, and contingency. Only a campaign owner can state what a particular goal covers.
Once a campaign page is public, this section can summarize its own description in original words and link readers to the full terms. We will not copy the entire pitch, reproduce reward art, or cache a changing total as though this were the transaction page.
How to follow the launch safely

Blank future milestones are preferable to fictional dates. When a stage changes, the row will retain its previous state in the update log rather than erasing the history that earlier readers saw.
Backing and link safety
All pledges, account access, card processing, reward surveys, refunds, and project messages should occur inside Kickstarter or another destination explicitly announced by the creators. Magical Meow Meow Cartoon Guide does not collect money, relay pledges, sell priority access, store Kickstarter credentials, or provide investment advice.
